Brief introduction of silicone sealant

Room temperature vulcanized silicone sealant is made of base polymer with cross linking agent, catalyst, filler and other additives after mixing in a moisture-tight mixer, and then packaged in cartridge or foil sausage. It will cross-linked sulphur and form an elastomer after being exposure to moisture in the air when it is extruded from the packing. It has excellent performance between -100℃ and 315℃, it’s much better then other any other elastomer in this aspect. Weather resistance and aging resistance are its key features. What’s more,  it also has any other excellent performance, such as Electrical insulation, hydrophobicity, anti-sticking and biochemical compatibility and so on. It’s ta popular elastomer in various fields.

According to the product packaging, room temperature vulcanized silicone sealant can be divided into one component and two components. According to type of cross linking system, it can be divided into diabetic type, ketone oxime type, dealcoholization, deacetone and de-amide type. The advantage and disadvantage of they are as follow:
